Archaeology, Anthropology, History Scholarships

funding sources for education and research

Home

Because of the nature of scholarship offerings and the amazing speed with which some institutional webmasters update their websites (that's sarcasm folks), some of this material may be quite dated.  I am including it because even though the scholarship information on the page may contain last years application date, there is enough additional information to let you know that the scholarship exists (or did as of then), what it is about, and contact information.  Many of the websites offer online information about needed qualifications and there are even scholarships for short summer programs or for volunteers.

This is hardly a comprehensive list of scholarships and grants.  For every one listed here, there are thousands of other scholarships available.  This section is designed to be a starting point for your research by providing examples of the wide range of scholarships offered in archaeology, anthropology and history.   You will then have some idea as to what is available, and where.  You will find a mixed bag of listings from Australia, Canada, U.K., and the U.S.   Keep checking back.  This section will grow rapidly.

Inclusion in this list does not constitute an endorsement nor is it indicative of any type of academic ranking.

Then after you get your funding, you might want to find a school.  Here is a list of colleges and universities State by State.

***  When shopping for funding, there are a few things you should know.  Please look through the special links to scholarship scams at the end of this page and learn what to avoid.
