Due to the nature of the topic and the wide range of information available, in order to cover only a tiny bit of it properly, some of the websites included here may have a commercial element in addition to the excellent information they provide.  Such inclusion does not constitute an endorsement of product or service by archaeolink.com.  Sites are included for information value only.

The number of sites available online for this topic is enormous.  This site can not and does not index all travel resources for a country.  These "tourism" pages are basically designed as a supplement to the Belgium Social Studies page, rather than for the avid business or pleasure traveler.

For those of you for whom this "supplementary" material is not enough, the following does provide some idea of what is available online and will hopefully be a good starting point for a more serious search.

Belgium __ "A rich and bubbling vat of beer, chocolate, oil paint and bureaucrats, Belgium gives off the heady pong of the bourgeoisie. But stir the pot a little and you'll find an 'artificial state' roughly made up of two parts Germanic Flemings to one part Celtic-Latin Walloons. Divided by pride first and language second, the country's binding agents are a pervasive sense of family and an indomitable entrepreneurial spirit. And if Belgium's spotlight on the European stage is a little dim, it's only because its people are rarely boastful. This country has more history, art, food and architecture per square centimetre than many of its bigger, louder neighbours." - illustrated - From Lonely Planet - http://www.lonelyplanet.com/destinations/europe/belgium/
