at the temple of Luxor. This view looks back at the Colonnade.
On the right you can see the pyramid of Khufu with the three subsidiary 'Queens
pyramids' and Mastabas tombs. To the left is the pyramid of Khafra. In the
foreground you can see the Sphinx temple (right) and the valley temple of Khafra.
This is what the entrance of a New Kingdom temple may have
looked like in its glory days.
This is the outer court yard leading into the Hypostyle hall.
